Processing
Titanium, titanium alloys, and particularly CoCrMo alloys, are all
categorized as materials which are difficult to process. In the course of 35
years, however, we have learned to master working with and processing these
materials.The cast parts are the products of investment casting using the lost-wax casting process, and the machining of the cast or forged parts is done using the latest computer-controlled processing machinery:
- Turning centres
- Turning centres with integrated measuring system and 4 axes
- Turning centres with powered tools
- Turning and machining centres
- Turning centre with 4-axis control and opposed spindle
- Multi-axis turning centre with opposed spindle
- Multi-axis turning and machining centre
- CNC milling machines with three, four or five axes
- Grinding and polishing machinery with integrated measurement control for ball and inlay production.
Besides all this high-tech machinery, traditional hand polishing by highly qualified, skilled workers has nevertheless continued to maintain its significance.
